BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour 2016
Presented by the Stargazers Theatre and Event Center, the 2016 BANFF Mountain Film Festival will be held Tuesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 2, beginning at 6:30 p.m. both days. Attendees will be treated to a collection of films celebrating the great outdoors from action movies highlighting extreme outdoor sports to more serious dramas emphasizing different mountain environments and cultures. Admission is $17.50 per person, and the film festival will take place at the Stargazers Theatre and Event Center at 10 South Parkside Drive in Colorado Springs.
15th Annual Colorado Springs Community St. Baldrick’s Event
Presented by elope, Inc, this long-standing charitable event will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Join in and help end childhood cancer. Volunteers will have their hair shaved off by professional barbers to raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. You don’t have to lose your hair to get involved, though, because the event always needs volunteers and donors. Admission is free, and the event will take place at the Ivywild School Auditorium at 1604 South Cascade Avenue.
26th Annual Super Show and Swap Meet
Enjoy two great events at one location. The 26th Annual Super Show and Swap Meet will be held Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6, 2016. Enjoy beer gardens, live music, a charity auction, and a large indoor motorcycle show. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors 65 and up, and kids 12 and under get in free.
Make sure to arrive on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. to enjoy the 24th Annual Colorado Tattoo Competition. Prizes will be awarded in 10 categories. Admission is $10 at the door, and if you want to enter your tattoo into the contest, the cost is $10 per tattoo. Both events will be held at the Mortgage Solutions Financial Expo Center at 3650 North Nevada Avenue.
25th Annual Wine Festival of Colorado Springs
Between Thursday, March 10 and Saturday, March 12, 2016, join the Colorado Springs Conservatory as they host the 25th Annual Wine Festival at The Broadmoor Hotel. Events will be held throughout the weekend, including a Grand Tasting Party at The Broadmoor Hotel and a Gourmet Winemaker Dinner at the Garden of the Gods Club. All proceeds benefit the Colorado Springs Conservatory. Ticket prices do vary, so check the event page for which seminars and events you want to attend. The Broadmoor Hotel is located at 1 Lake Avenue.
Hams and Hamstrings Easter Sunday 5K
Try something a little different this Easter Sunday and run for your Easter dinner. On Sunday, March 27, beginning at 8 a.m., join other running enthusiasts in a free 5K where the prizes for top finishers and best costumes will be Easter ham. The race will begin at 7718 East Woodmen Road.
